The Chef

No.10 restaurant has been established for over 20 years, but Paul and Sarah Minett have owned the restaurant for 5 years. The restaurant is in an old Victorian House dating back to the 18th Century on the busy Scotland road in the Cumbrian City of Carlisle.

Paul and Sarah stared their catering career over 20 years ago in hotels in the south of England. Sarah took a break from catering to raise children, whilst Paul progressed through the kitchen at
Center Parcs in Norfolk to the role of sous chef of 13 restaurants.

Paul moved to Newmarket race course to become the head chef. He then moved into Buckinghamshire to the home of British motor sport at Silverstone, taking control of the 2001 Grand Prix, producing 42,000 meals over the weekend with his team.

Paul then became Head chef of private catering for Sodexho in the City of London. Catering for events such as Buckingham Palace Garden Parties, Chelsea Flower Show, Royal Ascot, Lords cricket ground, British Open Golf and PGA golf in Spain as part of his daily role.

Fancying a change of scenery and pace of life, Paul moved his family to Cumbria to run Center Parcs at Whinfell Forest near Penrith. He was the executive chef for four years, before deciding it was time to run his own business.

Paul and Sarah then purchased No.10 restaurant. No.10 restaurant has established a great reputation in Carlisle and outlying areas for producing locally-sourced produce, cooked to perfection in an intimate, relaxed environment.
No.10 restaurant also caters for private functions.
